Woolmers Estate
Woolmers Estate is situated near Longford Tasmania, Australia twenty-five minutes from Launceston. The Estate has outstanding cultural significance because it represents a continuous association with the Thomas Archer family, providing an encapsulated record of six generations, and the changes to their lifestyle, from the time the land was first settled in circa 1817 to the death of the last heir in 1994.

Cookery Nook Cottage

Cookery Nook or the Baker's cottage sleeps two people. It is a one bed-roomed cottage at 'room only' rate $100.00 per night for two adults. It has a fully fitted kitchen, cosy sitting room with an open fire. The cottage is on one level.
History
The Bakehouse Cottages (now named Cookery Nook) were built around 1840. At that time there were three bakehouse cottages.

The third cottage appears to have been demolished prior to the 1920s.
The existence of a larger cottage either side of the small central building suggests that there were two bakers accommodated at Woolmers and the central building was the primary bakehouse.

The cottages were adapted by Thomas Archer VI in the 1980s to provide rental accommodation for paying guests.
This led to the insertion of a kitchen and bathroom fittings in the main building.
