Woolmers Estate is one of few privately funded World Heritage Listed sites and relies on the support and goodwill of visitors and the local community. There are several ways in which we receive financial support in order to maintain Woolmers Estate so that everyone can enjoy the rich heritage we have to offer.

Becoming a member of the Woolmers Foundation Inc not only gives you a range of benefits when visiting Woolmers and other convict heritage sites around Tasmania, it also helps us to continue providing maintenance to the Estate so that others may also enjoy what it has to offer. Tourism and Events
Woolmers operates as a tourism facility, charging visitors for things such as tours. These minimal charges assist us in running the facility. In addition we run events throughout the year such as the Annual Festival of Roses, offer the Estate for functions such as weddings, have a variety of accommodation options and also run a small restaurant to help with the cost of maintaining the facility as well as assisting to provide a full range of services.
Woolmers relies on the dedication and hard work of many volunteers for the day-to-day activities of the Estate as well as the special events that we hold. We are very appreciative of the support we receive from our volunteers and are always keen to partner with others.
